Spicy Roasted Red Pepper Hummus

  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 14oz can of  chickpeas
  • 1 large garlic clove minced
  • 2 tbsp  olive oil
  • tbsp tahini
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne 
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper


  • Set oven to 350 degrees
  • Wash the peppers, take out the core, get rid of any seeds and cut into four pieces 
  • Put peppers in a bowl. Then drizzle a bit of olive oil and sprinkle salt + pepper into the same bowl. Massage the peppers.
  • Then put the peppers in a baking tray and bake them for 25 minutes. Once done let them cool for 10 minutes. 
  • When the peppers are finished you can put all ingredients into a food processor or high speed blender. Blend until your reach desired consistency

  • Blend everything together. If it's too thick and you want a smoother consistency then you can add 1/4 cup of water.

  • Once finished serve and enjoy!
